The event will be held in-person at CAHR 2025 on Thursday May 1st 2025, between 8am - 11am ADT in Rooms 501 and 502.

Activities at the ancillary session will include:
  • A networking breakfast
  • A panel discussion on the opportunities of a national call to action for different interest groups
  • Small working group discussions to review and refine drafted calls to action for specific interest groups; as well as discussion on sustainable monitoring and evaluation
  • A large group discussion report back
This event invites women living with HIV, clinicians, researchers, social service providers, policymakers and everyone interested to develop a collaborative call to action to advance the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of women living with HIV in Canada. This work builds on seven years of national consultation and activism to advance the SRHR of women living with HIV. The call to action is guided by the Key Recommendations for developing a national action plan to advance the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women living with HIV in Canada (2022), which was developed by a national community-academic partnership team. This work is rooted in important learnings on meaningful engagement, of which a research paper has recently been published!

We welcome all those who are interested to join us to shape the calls to action! For those who are unable to attend the in-person CAHR session, a virtual session will take place after the CAHR conference, during the summer. If you are interested in attending the virtual session, please indicate so below and type in your email address and we will contact you with more information.
