The EDI Peer mentorship program aims to connect medical students with other medical student mentors who have faced uniquely similar life experiences and are looking for guidance. One of the main purposes of upholding high EDI standards in our faculty is to cultivate an environment where students feel safe being vulnerable and sharing their struggles. We hope that this program will help foster a spirit of support, while upholding EDI principles. Mentors will benefit from this program, as helping others through their struggles often indirectly benefits both the receiving and giving parties.
Please note, we will be in touch regarding a mental health crisis training session for mentors. More info to come in the future!
Thank you for considering being a mentor for the EDI Peer Mentorship Program!
