The Trade Commissioner Service of Canada (TCS) is now accepting applications for a digital Company Directory showcasing Canadian capabilities in the games industry for the upcoming edition of gamescom. Trade Commissioners will use this digital directory to develop and strengthen relationships with both new and existing local contacts, and to generate leads for Canadian companies in the games industry.

To be eligible a company/organization must:
• Be incorporated under the laws of Canada, in a province or a territory;
• Be a for-profit company or not-for-profit organization;
• Support the promotion of Canadian interactive and digital media abroad;
• Expect to generate new export revenues (with a project under development or an investment opportunity, for example);
• Plan to participate at gamescom in person; and
• Be available for consultation on the content of the company directory.

Additionally, the TCS is offering Canadian gaming companies, associations, and partners, a FREE account for the MeetToMatch platform. MeetToMatch is the most relevant and trusted B2B platform in the games industry, allowing companies to schedule meetings with publishers, investors, and developers from around the world, on-site at gamescom in Cologne, Germany. Registration is currently limited to one free account per company, and accounts will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Account requests will be verified. Use of AI:
Please be advised that the online directory of Canadian companies at Gamescom will be created with the use of AI Tools. Digital Nova Scotia, one of the major Canadian industry partners at Gamescom, is developing a digital directory of all participating game development companies. To support the creation of this platform, a generative AI tool (specifically Lovable AI) will be used to assist with website coding and development.

Scope of AI Use:
AI will be used solely for technical support in website development (e.g., coding assistance). It will not be used to generate any participant images, audio, or videos. Generative AI tools will also be utilized to support writing and communications required for this digital directory.
Data and Privacy: No private participant data will be stored on the platform. The website will not maintain a user database. Contact information collected through the website will comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data Hosting: The platform will be hosted on servers located in Canada through a Canadian hosting provider to ensure that all data used for this digital directory remains within Canada.
