Phase 2 Engagement Questionnaire Thank you for taking the time to participate in Phase 2 of engagement for the Sunshine Coast Regional District’s Official Community Plan (OCP) Renewal Project!BackgroundThe SCRD is renewing its Official Community Plans (OCPs) and Zoning Bylaws. Currently there are 7 OCPs and 2 zoning bylaws that guide development in electoral areas A, B, D, E, and F. A new plan will integrate the 7 OCPs into one document, be easier to use, aligned with today’s legislative requirements, and enable the SCRD to provide better service to achieve community goals in a cost-effective way. There will be one companion zoning bylaw.Whether it’s planning neighbourhoods, determining housing options, protecting the environment, developing parks, or preparing for the impacts of climate change, the OCP sets the course for decision-making that affects everyone, now and for generations to come.
