Welcome to Child Development and Digital Media Project Enrollment Survey! Thank you for your interest in our study! This study is being conducted by the Grow to Care Lab at Simon Fraser University. Your participation is very important to us!
To participate, you must:
Reside in British Columbia.
Your child must be 10 or 12-years-old.
You and your child must be fluent in English.
You and your child are available to come in person to Simon Fraser University-Burnaby campus.

The study will take approximately 60-75 minutes to complete. It will examine how digital media influences children's social, emotional, and moral development, and how parents prepare their children for independent uses of digital devices and platforms. You and your child will engage in short conversations together while listening to audio clips. You will be asked to complete a survey and a short interview in a separate room. Your child will take part in an interview wherein they will listen to some stories, be asked questions about those stories, and additional questions related to digital media.
You will receive $30 as compensation for your time, and your child will receive a book. You and your child's data will be confidential and protected (more information will be provided on the consent form).
