Background: The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) recently released recommendations to address the use of race in eGFR prediction equations.   Recommendations include a newly derived race-agnostic equation, increased use of cystatin-C, and calls for funding for kidney function markers that eliminate race and ethnic disparities.

The full report can be found here: https://www.ajkd.org/article/S0272-63862100828-3/fulltext

Objective: The Canadian Society of Nephrology (CSN) has recently assembled a task force to make recommendations for eGFR reporting in Canada.  The CSCC is represented on the CSN Task Force and is seeking input from members.

The survey is estimated to take 3-4 minutes to complete (if unfamiliar with the recommendations, background reading may be substantially longer).

Results of the survey and the CSN Task Force recommendations will be shared once available.  Because of the speed of events, the survey will close end of day Oct 30.
