My name is Tyler Churchman, and you are invited to participate in my research project, Aligning Still Interpreting Inc.’s Sponsorship Strategy with Community Values. I am a student in the Master of Business Administration program at Royal Roads University.

The purpose of my research is to collect opinions and attitudes from members of the Deaf, hard of hearing, and DeafBlind community (DHHDB) on preferred types of community sponsorship. The project is sponsored by Still Interpreting Inc. You may verify the authenticity of this project by contacting my Academic Advisor, Frances Jorgensen at Frances.Jorgensen@royalroads.ca.

The survey is expected to take five minutes to complete. The questions will refer to preferences relating to corporate sponsorship. In addition to submitting my final report to Royal Roads University in partial fulfillment for my MBA degree, I will also be sharing my research findings with Still Interpreting Inc.

The survey is via an online survey platform and results will be summarized, in anonymous format, in the final report. Your comments will remain anonymous, unless you agree to be identified. All documentation will be kept strictly confidential. The data gathered will be retained until March 2027 at which point it will be deleted.

An electronic copy, with no public access, will be held at Royal Roads University, unless the client (Still Interpreting Inc.) has indicated the report is to be returned for confidentiality reasons. In certain circumstances, the report may be reviewed by future MBA students, provided permission has been obtained from the report writer.

Participation in the survey may benefit community members if Still Interpreting Inc. revises its sponsorship strategy to be aligned with the preferences identified in this study. However, implementation of recommendations from this study is not guaranteed, which presents a minimal risk to participants whose expectations of sponsorship alignment may not be met.

Your participation is completely voluntary and no compensation is offered for your participation. If you do choose to participate, you are free to withdraw from the survey at any time prior to submission without prejudice to pre-existing entitlements. Please note, once you have submitted the survey and the data becomes part of an anonymized dataset, it cannot be withdrawn. Similarly, if you choose not to participate in this research project, this information will be maintained in confidence.

This research is being conducted by Tyler Churchman who is also a co-owner of Still Interpreting Inc. Survey responses are being collected anonymously to avoid a real or perceived conflict of interest. Findings from this research may inform the business decisions of Still Interpreting Inc.
