This information is being collected for surveillance and harm reduction planning purposes. Needles that are reported via this website will not be picked up by Southeast Public Health Unit staff. If needles are found on public property, please contact your municipality or the County directly. If you require further assistance or advice with a needle found in the community, contact Southeast Public Health at 1-800-660-5853 or for more information about how to pick up discarded needles go to the Needle Safety webpage. A sharps disposal container can be picked up from any of the Southeast Public Health offices to safely handle sharps found in the community, and can be disposed of at a pharmacy or a sharps disposal kiosk. Sharps disposal kiosks can be accessed at any time in the following locations:
